Stewardship Forester (Forester)

Under the direct supervision of the Woodlands Superintendent, the Stewardship Forester is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the existing SFI Certification system, as well as execution of all the silviculture requirements for all of Carrier Lumber Ltd. operations in British Columbia.

The successful candidate will be a self starter with excellent organization, computer, communication and team skills.  The candidate must have proven skills related to all aspects of Certification and current Silviculture practises.  Experience in GIS is a definite asset. 

QUALIFICATIONS:   

• A minimum of 4 years related experience
• A Registered Professional Forester / Registered Professional Forestry Technician designation is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in current technology
• Knowledgeable in current forest legislation

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience.
