THE DUTIES

Under the direct supervision of the Woodlands Superintendent, the Stewardship Forester is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the existing SFI Certification system, the execution of all the silviculture requirements, and will participate in the long term harvest planning and permit acquisition for all of Carrier Forest Products Ltd. operations in Saskatchewan.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent organization, computer, communication and team skills.  The candidate must have proven skills related to all facets of Certification, current Silviculture practises, forestry planning, permit acquisition and forest policy.  Experience in GIS is a definite asset.  This position is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

• A minimum of 4 years related experience
• A Registered Professional Forester / Registered Professional Forestry Technician designation is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in current technology
• Knowledgeable in current forest legislation

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience.
