Silviculture Quality Assessor

Term: May 1st to Sept 1st 2018; 40 hours per week

Location: Debert, Nova Scotia

Under the direction of the Silviculture & Process Improvement Team Leader, using electronic data collection equipment, complete assessments of various ongoing silviculture treatments ensuring that company and government technical standards are met. This includes assessing treatment quality; checking area measurement and completing required documentation. Sites are located throughout Nova Scotia on Private and Crown Forest Lands.

Qualifications:

Student of a recognized Forest Technicians or Bachelor of Science in Forestry program. Experience working in Nova Scotia forest conditions and silviculture operations an asset. Must have reliable vehicle capable of operating on forest access roads in Central Nova Scotia.
