SHIFT SUPERVISOR, OKANAGAN, BC:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
   • Responsible for overseeing the plants production team during a shift
   • Work with the production management team and maintenance team to ensure plants operations are running at optimal levels to ensure that production goals are met
   • Work with department managers to manage and schedule manpower and equipment to ensure the smooth operation of facility
   • Ensure that all work in facility is performed to companys safety standards at all times
   • Mentor production team members in regards to operations, safety, and productivity   

REQUIREMENTS:
   • Production supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility (Wood products highly preferred, Plywood or Veneer Mill, Sawmill, OSB, OSL, etc.)
   • Experience in a continuous operating environment
   • Strong leadership qualities and a Coach/Mentor team first approach
   • Willingness to work shift work (Days & Afternoons)
   • Previous wood products experience - saw/planer/OSB/pulp mill experience
   • Assets include any schooling in wood manufacturing (UBC); trades training; PMP designation; PLC experience; Quality Control experience; leadership training; and any Lean Manufacturing training an asset 

Minimum Education: High School

Compensation

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
