SHARC Operator – Triton Resources Inc.

Triton Resources is currently seeking a SHARC Operator to operate Triton’s Proprietary SHARC Underwater Harvester in Central America. The position will report to Triton’s Production Manager.

Responsibilities

General

  • Responsible for day to day operating and maintenance of Triton’s SHARC Harvester
  • Conduct activities in accordance with Corporate Policy and Triton Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure that all activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands, professional and ethical standards
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all relevant data and systems
  • Attend appropriate team meetings and provide constructive feedback and support to other team members
  • Maintain a positive relationship with department heads in both Triton’s Corporate Office as well as in subsidiary offices as they are established through constructive feedback, assistance and provision of various reports
  • Maintain professional awareness of overall developments in the field of assigned areas by literature review, attendance at professional meetings, conferences and seminars
  • Other tasks as assigned

Technical Skills

  • Ability to harvest trees using single-grip harvesting equipment
  • High capacity for thinking spatially
  • Basic working knowledge of windows based computer programs
  • Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair which includes the ability to read electronic/hydraulic schematics
  • Ability to work with the engineering group to improve performance of the equipment
  • Ability to train and mentor new operators

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant experience with single-grip harvesting equipment
  • Proven capability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Ability to travel internationally and work abroad for extended periods of time
  • Marine experience would be an asset
  • Valid passport and driver’s licence
  • No criminal record
  • Current Level 1 Occupational First Aid with Transport Endorsement is an asset
  • Boat operator’s licence is an asset
  • Previous overseas or camp work is an asset
