Senior Forestry Manager based in Stirling / Perth

The successful candidate will join a small team working for distinguished clients. This is a development role which requires a professionally qualified forester who will develop existing relationships and seek new clients in order to build the company's business in central, western and north Scotland.

Working independently but backed by a full support service team the Senior Forestry Manager will take responsibility for forest planning, budgeting, harvesting, restocking programmes and forest estate management. We seek an experienced person with good interpersonal skills, who is motivated to build on an established reputation and career and create a professional forest management service for Treelands in this important region. The person appointed will possess a background in commercial and estate forestry, and an understanding of the forestry and timber marketplace as well as associated grants and rural development schemes. A degree in forestry or a related discipline is a requirement, together with full membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, or a desire to obtain this.

Compensation

Salary: Dependent upon experience Treelands is expanding its presence in Scotland and is seeking to appoint a Senior Forestry Manager who will be based in a new office to be located in the Stirling/Perth area.
