Hedberg and Associates, based in Squamish BC, is a diversified forestry and natural resource management company. The company draws from a wide range of forestry experience which has allowed the firm to branch out into many resource sectors. The firm provides consulting services to the forest industry, energy sector, telecommunication and transmission/distribution line industry. Hedberg and Associates continues to specialize in forest management, silviculture, operational planning, cutting permit applications and appraisals, including field layout of roads and cut blocks.

We are looking for a senior forestry engineering crewman. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of forestry experience, have completed a post-secondary forestry program and be registered with the ABCFP. We are a highly motivated group of individuals and will provide employees the opportunity to continue their advancement in the forest sector and other resource industries.

Employees will be primarily responsible for completing and overseeing road location and block layout, and preparation of operational forestry plans. In addition to this, other responsibilities would include work on clean energy and transmission line layout projects. The position will be predominantly field based with work in all types of weather and terrain. We are a local company but require some work to be completed in remote locations.

Job Qualifications:

• Valid BC Drivers License.

• Healthy, fit individuals who are able to complete work in a variety of outdoor environments.

• 5 years of forestry experience with the knowledge and training to be capable of supervising others.

• Proficient with Road Eng, Word and Excel software programs.

• Familiarity with Trimble GPS products is an asset.
