GreenStar Forest Solutions Inc., a consulting firm based in Valemount, BC, is looking for forestry professionals with experience in cutting permit development on mountainous terrain.

Valemount is a community on the verge of transformation. The imminent development of the Glacier Destinations Resort, our local geothermal resources, mountain bike parks and unparalleled winter recreation terrain contribute to a vibrant small-town atmosphere.

You’ll spend most of your time in the field, assessing logging chance, laying out road and boundary, and gathering/assessing ecological and hydrological data.

Your interpersonal skills will be as important as your technical skills. Skill with Office applications will be an asset, as will familiarity with GPS and GIS applications.

You must be physically fit and able to adapt to a variety of conditions, clients, and project configurations.

Opportunities exist for candidates with a strong interest in expanding their skill set into the areas of visual impact assessments, GIS, and remote sensing.

These are permanent, full-time positions. Lesser-qualified individuals may be considered for seasonal work.

Compensation

Remuneration will be based on experience and
