Maple Leaf Forestry Ltd. is seeking Senior Forest Technicians – start date is early May 2016 or as negotiated with the successful candidate. Positions are considered full time and are primarily field based with a minor component of office related duties.
Senior position: candidates will act as crew leader on the project team. Tasks include:
Forest development/engineering including cut-block and road layout
- Timber reconnaissance
- Riparian classification
- Site plan data collection
- Forest health surveys
- Timber cruising
Preference will be given to those with 2-3+ years forestry experience and are registered with the ABCFP.
Compensation
