The City of Highland Park is seeking a Seasonal Forestry Worker to assist the City Forester with forestry-related programs including administration of parkway tree planting & maintenance programs, code enforcement, tree health issues (Dutch Elm Disease and Emerald Ash Borer), and tree inventory and database management.

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent is required.

Coursework in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, urban forestry, or a related field preferred; ISA Certified Arborist preferred.

Minimum of one year working experience in forestry-related field, including a combination of office and field work.

A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted in lieu of this experience. 

Compensation

$21.58/hr
