SAWMILL SUPERVISOR

BC Industry: Sawmill
Salary: $80,000- $95,000 – negotiable depending on experience

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Sawmill Supervisor will report to the Operations Superintendent and be responsible for driving safety, production and quality in the Sawmill. Your duties include but are not limited to:

• Work closely with both Operations and Maintenance to ensure plant operations are running at optimal levels, ensuring production goals are met
• Schedule manpower and equipment for smooth operation
• Mentor production team members in regards to operations, safety and productivity
• Conduct annual performance reviews with each department under production 
• Assist in departmental budgets
• Ensure Performance targets are met  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• MUST have previous supervisor experience in a Sawmill 
• Experience in continuous operating environment
• Continuous improvement processes
• LEAN Manufacturing training asset

Compensation

COMPENSATION

- Base salary $80,000-$95,000
- 3 weeks of vacation
- Dental, Extended Medical
- Premiums paid 100%
- MSP Paid
- Pension
- RRSP – you pay 5% company pays 7%
- Tuition reimbursement
- 50% reimbursement for safety boots
