Responsibilities

This position has the responsibility for the sawmill, including safety, production, quality, environmental and technical compliance and personnel management on assigned shift. Direct supervision and leadership of the shift team. Monitor and manage employee activities for the successful attainment of safety, production, quality and cost goals and optimize performance. Provide direction and support in the development of improvements to plant performance. Requires a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, quality, production, costs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Requires a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with good analytical, communication, and planning and organizational skills. A solid understanding of manufacturing practices and equipment is required. Must be knowledgeable in the use and application of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook. Must have the ability to work well with people at all levels and facilitate change and growth as needed in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Degree and supervisory experience preferred.
