What You’ll Do

•              Relieve machine operators (in machine centers trained on) for vacations,

•       Relieve machine operators (in machine centers trained on) for vacations, medical, personal or funeral leave and during breaks as assigned by Supervisor or Crewleader.

•              Responsible for completing clean-up and ground maintenance of regularly assigned area.

•              Assist with keeping a steady flow of lumber throughout the mill by straightening lumber cross-ups using a pick axe or chain saw, as necessary.

•              Adhere to all safety policies and perform tasks in safe, responsible manner.

•              Understand and adhere to all company practices applicable to employee, such a attendance, call in, conduct, etc.

•              Required at the end of training to meet minimum standards and/or 80% efficiency on designated machine centers trained on.

•              Be familiar with lumber dimensions and piece counts.

•              Be a certified Forklift Operator or able to obtain certification within allotted training time of training.

•              Perform preventative maintenance.

•              Operate chainsaw/sawzall as needed to clear hang-ups.

•              Adhere to all safety regulations especially applicable to lockout/tag-out.

•              Perform any other work-related task deemed necessary by the supervisor.

•              Physical Requirements: Walking, Standing, Sitting, Climbing, Bending and Lifting (Up to 50 lbs.).
