Vaagen Fibre Canada sawmill is seeking candidates for the position of Maintenance Millwright for our Midway, BC operation. In this position, you will be directly responsible to provide safe maintenance, repair, installation and modification of all sawmill related equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

• ‪Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.  

• ‪Knowledge of computerized machinery

• ‪Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

• ‪Ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans

• ‪Operating hoisting and lifting device to position machinery and parts during repairs

• ‪Ability to follow the Company and Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

• ‪Minimum 3^rd year apprentice Maintenance Mechanic/Industrial Millwright ‪

• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• ‪Demonstrated ability to work as part of the team
