Profile
Our client is a leading pulp and paper trading company headquartered in Europe. This established company operates in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and North Africa. They trade different pulp grades as well as speciality papers and are known for developing remote markets.
We are looking for an individual to sell wood pulp into the fibre cement market. This special product is intended to replace asbestos in the building industry. Candidates with experience trading construction materials are preferred. However, anyone with commodity trading experience will be considered.
Must be able to travel 50% of the time. |

Responsibilities
Responsible for selling a range of different pulp products into the fibre cement industry
Acquire, negotiate and close sales and purchase contracts
Service and maintain excellent working relationships with both customers and suppliers
Source, prospect and identify new customers and trading opportunities

Qualifications
Experience trading a physical commodity, ideally from the construction materials market
Knowledge of the challenges and regulations of asbestos is a major asset
Technical background in fibre cement production is a major asset
Proficiency in English; a second language, such as German, is considered a major asset
Progressive business skills – professional demeanor, articulate, exceptional computer skills
A business or international trade degree, or equivalent professional experience
Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills
High level of initiative and entrepreneurial drive
