Sales Manager - Central Europe - Wood Pulp

Profile 

Our client is a leading pulp and paper trading company headquartered in Europe. We are looking for an entrepreneurial sales manager to join their team in Hanau, Germany. This established company operates in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and North Africa. They trade different pulp grades as well as specialty papers and are known for developing remote markets.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for selling a range of different pulp and paper products, predominantly wood pulp
  • Acquire, negotiate and close sales and purchase contracts
  • Service and maintain excellent working relationships with both customers and suppliers
  • Source, prospect and identify new customers and trading opportunities
  •  

    Qualifications 

  • Experience trading a physical commodity
  • Pulp trading experience is considered a major asset but not required
  • Experience working in central/eastern Europe
  • Progressive business skills – professional demeanor, articulate, exceptional computer skills
  • A business or international trade degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills
  • High level of initiative and entrepreneurial drive
  • Proficiency in English; a second language is considered a major asset
