- Prefer a Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field.
- Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience working in the safety field of manufacturing.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communications skills.
- Strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Critical thinker with advanced problem-solving skills.
- Action orientated with strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goals.
- Preference to experience in Microsoft office suite and SharePoint.
- Preference to ability & accreditation to provide safety training.
- Preference to knowledge of business and financial concepts.
- Group facilitation and training experience is a definite asset.
- Ability to adopt to behavior consistent with Grande Prairie Lumbers safety vision and values, policy and site principles.
Career Path/Progression Implications:
The ideal candidate will have completed post-secondary education in health & safety and have obtained their CRSP designation, along with leadership skill development in the areas of people, reliability, cost and environmental.
