HVP Plantations is one of the largest privately owned softwood plantation management company in Australia. This renewable resource based organisation has a vacancy for a Research Forester. This role is based from its office in Churchill, which is located near Traralgon in Gippsland. 

This position will oversee the installation and monitoring of extensive tree research trials across our Victorian plantation estate. 

You should have the following:

• Applicants will have good numeracy skills
• Eye for detail
• Experience in supervising others
• Good communication and computer skills
• Current driver’s licence
• Able to undertake regular overnight travel
• A relevant qualification is desirable

As this role involves strenuous activities including manual work in rough and hilly terrain in difficult weather conditions the preferred applicant will satisfactorily complete a medical assessment to ensure they can undertake the role safely prior to appointment.
