NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FLY IN FLY OUT ROLE. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE YOU TO RELOCATE TO THE B.C INTERIOR – RELOCATION COSTS WILL BE COVERED BY THE COMPANY.

Transferrable Industry: Any wood products or heavy manufacturing (not suitable for construction millwrights) 
Salary: $38 - $39

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The millwright will be responsible for the repair, modification, fabrication and maintenance of all the mechanical equipment relevant to the mills operations. 

• Based on blueprints and schematic drawings assemble and install new equipment
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance
• Follow work orders and work closely with other members of the mill’s maintenance departments ensuring that the mill is running on optimal levels and production targets are met
• Adhere to company’s safety policies when performing all tasks

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

• Must be Red Seal certified
• Must have experience working in a Sawmill, Planner Mill or any other forestry manufacturing environment
• Must have PLC troubleshooting skills
• Must be willing to work on any shift

Compensation

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary $38 - $40 per hour
- Paid overtime
- Vacation 2-3 weeks depending on experience
