Mangan Logging is a family owned and operated business which has been in operation for over 50 years based in Oberon. The business currently harvests, forwards and hauls sustainable softwood plantations in Central West NSW and employs over 60 people & operate over 20 B Double haulage trucks and industry related equipment.  

We are currently seeking a QA & WHS Coordinator to join our team and be based in Oberon. You will responsible for undertaking production monitoring and quality assurance activities along with work health & safety consultation and implementation tasks. Training will be provided so you can successfully complete the QA requirements of the position.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Production monitoring in the way of weekly bay audits, harvest data downloads from the in cab computer systems
  • Quality Control auditing of log quality, length and diameter checks and reject scaling.
  • Compiling monthly forestry reports
  • Maintaining and updating our WHS safety management system

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Ideally hold formal qualifications minimum Cert IV in work health & safety or above
  • Be upwardly mobile to complete the daily driving requirement of the position with a safe driving record.
  • Have strong administrative and organisation skills
  • Hold an interest in challenging the status quo and improving systems and processes
  • Naturally be professional and consultative in nature
  • Have effective time management skills

Hours of work will generally be Monday to Friday.

The position attracts a salary and fully maintained vehicle.

We will consider candidates based either in Oberon, Bathurst or close surrounding areas.

Compensation

$40,000 - $49,999 Graduate Package
