Purchaser

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Purchaser provides support on purchasing, shipping and receiving and ensures the relevant processes are followed to meet the operational needs and obtain the best value for the Company. This position works closely with the accounting team during the month and year end financial reporting requirements.

The Purchaser is responsible for procuring goods and services in accordance with company policy and professional standards. This position ensures that purchasing, shipping and receiving processes are followed in an efficient and ethical manner while meeting the relevant laws and regulations and providing the best possible value to the operation. The Purchaser is also responsible for reconciling purchasing inventory records, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data, maintaining the warehouse, purchasing system, controls site inventory and conducts physical counts.

 

Candidates must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills essential to represent the company in a professional manner. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance environment and experience operating mobile equipment is an asset.
