F4 Tech currently has an opening for a Project Forester in their Tallahassee, Florida office. The chosen applicant would be a key member of the consulting services group. The successful applicant should be a self-starter, have a passion for technology and enjoy working in an engaged and empowering small business environment.
Responsibilities:
o Work with clients to assess their needs and desires, scope requirements, goals, and deliverables
o Managing natural resource projects including forest inventory data collection, data management, and implementation of technology solutions for forest management
o Subcontractor management
o Inventory data analysis and GIS data creation, editing, and analysis
o Auditing cruise plots implemented by sub-contractors
o Position requires periodic travel for consecutive days
Required Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in forestry or related field
o 1+ years of professional forestry experience
o Prior forest inventory experience
o Prior experience with ArcGIS 9/10x
o Proficient with MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point
Applicants with the following credentials will be preferred:
o Experience with GIS, image analysis and LIDAR data processing
o Prior experience writing T-SQL or MS Access queries
