Full Time

  Surrey Cedar Ltd (http://surreycedar.com)

Reporting to the General Manager, the Production Manager is a key member of the management team. The ideal candidate possesses a true passion for wood products and carries an entrepreneurial spirit. The Production Manager will be responsible for providing overall leadership in the plant and will work closely with employees to ensure efficient and effective operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

You're an entrepreneur at heart, but don't care to take on the financial risk and all the redtape involved in running your own sawmill. You love wood products, and just want to be free to do what you do best – run the day-to-day wood production of the business. You're thrifty and know how to keep costs to a minimum. Inefficiency offends you. You're a born leader and salesperson, but selling isn't your main job…just something you do for fun here and there throughout the week because you're competitive and want to move more product than you did last year. Although you may not be a “people-person” per se, you love people and want to build a great team.
