OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

We are currently seeking energetic, hardworking candidates to join our Casual Weekend Cleanup team.  This position involves general cleanup – physically handling and lifting materials, throughout both sawmill and planer production environments.  Casual Weekend Cleanup employees will be expected to work 1 – 2 shifts between: Friday graveyard and Sunday day shift.  Casual Weekend Cleanup provides tremendous growth opportunities, where motivated individuals are able to train, and excel in various areas throughout the site.                 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Must be available to work 1 – 2 (8 hour) weekend shifts (days, afternoons, or graveyard).

  •  Candidates must be at least 17 years of age, and in good physical condition.
  •  Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner; independently, or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must follow safe work practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • May be exposed to elements of weather.
  • Knowledge of the lumber manufacturing process would be an asset.

Compensation and benefits for this position are based on the current, Local Collective Agreement.
