Procurement Manager - OSB (Management & Executives)

Primary Responsibility: The procurement manager will be responsible for the procuring raw materials for the Corrigan OSB facility. He/she will ensure that products are purchased in the most cost-efficient manner and will negotiate with suppliers to obtain raw material deliveries that meet the Corrigan OSB business plan. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: proactively assisting with the acquisition of delivered raw materials into Oakdale and Chopin; participating in mill leadership team meetings; conducting wood quality audits in the plant and at the scales; ensuring legal and ethical transactions in all procurement activities; managing procurement staff; and providing in-woods guidance to ensure log quality.

Job Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in forestry. A minimum of five years of experience in forestry is required. The preferred candidate will have experience with the following activities: personnel management, strategic procurement planning and forecasting, raw materials acquisition, timber sales administration and inspections, woodyard inventory and reporting, knowledge of markets and trends, and forest measurements. Experience in conducting performance and knowledge assessments is required. An outstanding safety record in all aspects of previous employment history is crucial. The candidate should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and ESRI software.

He/she must also possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders, including team members, managers, landowners, and suppliers, in both written and verbal forms.
