ABOUT HIGHLAND PELLETS LLC: Highland’s pellet facility at Pine Bluff AR is a 600,000 metric tonne per year plant ideally located in the Arkansas fiber basket and benefits from main line rail to Gulf Coast exporting facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will be related to direct procurement of pine roundwood, bark fuel, field work consisting of BMP audits of supplier harvesting sites in addition to other detailed organizational skills with files and paper work.

REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Must have strong interpersonal skill to enable interaction with fiber suppliers, accounting and mill personnel. A minimum four year forestry degree is required. Some previous experience preferred around a fiber manufacturing environment. Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, data entry, familiarity with wood settlement accounting and other digital skills will be necessary. Good written and verbal communication skills are required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ability to work with various managers in Procurement, Wood Yard, various company Directors, and Plant operations to carry out a plan to ensure sufficient inventory of pine roundwood and bark fuel. Includes the ability to perform occasional field work and work in a wood manufacturing environment in a variety of environmental conditions. Safety during all work activities is of paramount importance. Must be able to work independently during a work week and complete tasks in a timely manner. Must have an insurable driving record.

Compensation

SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education.
