Georgia-Pacific Wood and Fiber Supply (W&FS), LLC is key to ensuring that GP's 80+ mills maintain a constant flow of logs, wood fiber and chips. W&FS sources its wood from lands owned by industrial, institutional, and individual private landowners.
The W&FS team is seeking a Procurement Forester to support our Clarendon OSB Mill located in Alcolu, SC. This is a home-based position and we are open to considering candidates within 60 miles of the Alcolu, SC area. Reporting to the Group Manager, this person will work to build strong business relationships within the procurement area of the Clarendon OSB mill in South Carolina. This person will help drive process improvements and present innovative solutions.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes: Purchasing round wood for multiple mills in the SC region
Making decisions on pricing and volume
Championing a culture where safe work practices, safe work conditions and environmental compliance are core values
Meeting strategic wood inventory targets
Providing accurate wood cost and volume forecasts
Assisting in developing and executing short and long term strategic planning
Expanding and developing additional sourcing opportunities
Working closely with the scalers and suppliers to maintain wood quality
