Post Hardwoods is seeking a full time procurement forester/timber buyer to purchase both hardwood stumpage and cut logs in the southern Michigan/ northern Indiana region.
We are looking for an independent, motivated individual interested in working directly with landowners and loggers to negotiate and administer timber sale contracts.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or extensive experience as a timber buyer. Primary responsibilities include locating and cruising pieces of timber through cold leads, scaling and grading stumpage and cut logs, and managing jobs by acting as a liaison between loggers, truck drivers, and landowners.
Compensation
