JOB DESCRIPTION 

Western Forest Products' North Island Forest Operation is currently searching for an experienced Processor Operator to join their Port McNeill location.  

This is an hourly USW union position with a rate of $35.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefit package. Details of the collective agreement can be viewed at

This role will require candidates to work swing shifts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, candidates will need to be fully qualified in all aspects of the job, which includes the following:

  • Experience in hydraulics, preferably Back Spar Hoe
  • Operator experience working in Coastal B.C. forests
  • A strong understanding of log species and sorts
  • A valid Driver's License

In addition to the above requirements, qualified candidates will have a conscientious safety attitude and an exemplary safety record. Candidates will be highly motivated, self-starters able to work on their own or with minimal supervision.
