OFO is seeking an experienced Planning Forester in Mt Gambier, South Australia. The role sits within the Estate Team and reports to the Silviculture Manager and is accountable for coordinating and preparing silvicultural and operational plans and undertaking supervision of selected operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering safety, quality, and operational planning across Silviculture operations
  • Forward planning and managing Estate tactical and operational programs
  • Achievement of financial targets by controlling expenditure
  • Financial and monthly reporting on operational activities and projects
  • Liaison with key internal and external stakeholders

To be considered for this position you should have tertiary qualifications and ideally, have 5+ years of relevant experience in Forest/Agri/Horticultural operations or adjacent industries. You have commercial acumen and experience in financial analysis and advanced knowledge of both GIS, and other industry software.

You have great communications skills and can work independently. This role may also suit Planning Managers/ Analysts that have an interest in entering the Forestry industry and possess experience in an adjacent industry.
