Planer Supervisor (Management & Executives)

Vaagen Bros. Lumber Inc. is opening a lumber yard in Athol, ID and is looking for a Planer Supervisor.

The Planer Supervisor will manage and supervise a team of personnel.  This position requires high performance with a primary focus on safety; culture of teamwork and cooperation between major processing segments; close integration of operating personnel and maintenance staff. 

Experience necessary: 

• Leadership in managing the efforts of your direct reports
• Efficient multi-stage manufacturing processes
• Production flow and scheduling
• Quality analysis in continuous improvement
• Cost analysis and controls
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in the sawmill industry
• Maintenance knowledge preferred

• Strong communication, planning and organization skills
