Position: Office Assistant

The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited has opportunities in the field of Urban Forestry, in administration, working as an office assistant. Davey is a leader in the Residential-Commercial tree care, utility line clearing and forestry consulting industries throughout the US and Canada.

Location: Surrey, BC

Job Duties: Seeking an experienced and highly organized individual who has excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint primarily). The office assistant will assist the general manager. Accounting experience is not required but will be an asset.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Using Microsoft Office Suite to assist the general manager in preparation of reports
  • Limited accounting assistance
  • Assisting corporate office, management, sales team, and field staff

Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum two years related executive assistant experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Typing skills of 50-60 WPM
  • Excellent written/spoken English
  • Superb organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities, prioritize work load and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to respond to enquiries and requests for information in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently in a small office environment as well within a team

Additional Information: Position is full time (40 hours / week, Monday - Friday). Vehicle is an asset but is not required. Davey and its subsidiaries are Employee Owned. A mandatory pre-employment drug test required upon conditional offer.

Compensation

Compensation will be $20.00 per hour.
