 Are you an experienced Office Administrator looking to join a great team at a well-established company in Squamish? Do you love the outdoors, and would enjoy a position with variety in administration, light bookkeeping, and payroll?

Our client, a leader in the forestry industry, is looking for an experienced Office Coordinator based out of their Squamish location, a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Squamish. The Company has been in business for almost 50 years and is comprised of several companies covering multiple aspects of the forest industry. This is a permanent position with most likely a 30-hour work-week to start, with the chance to increase to a 40-hour work week if the candidate prefers a full-time schedule.

The responsibilities and duties have the flexibility to be influenced by the individual’s skill-set and this is a great opportunity to touch upon multiple aspects within the company. Strong communication skills are essential to the role as direct collaboration with operational staff, head office, and external parties happens daily.

Position Summary/Responsibilities

·         General administrative support for the sales and inventory departments

·         Processing payroll for roughly 35 employees, as well as benefits administration

·         Maintain filing for both the accounting and inventory departments

·         Assist with processing accounts payables, accounts receivables, and bank reconciliations

·         Data maintenance/input into spreadsheets as well as inventory and accounting systems

·         Create and distribute weekly management reports

·         Ability to perform ad-hoc projects in support of management

·         General support and vacation backup

Skills & Experience:

·         Minimum 5+ years’ office administration experience, with basic knowledge of A/P & A/R preferred

·         Strong communication skills, both oral and written

·         Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to confidently interact with all levels of the organization

·         Proficient in the full MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

·         Ability to learn quickly when facing new problems and open to change

·         Comfortable occasionally doing inventory counts in the outdoors

·         Ability to follow through and complete projects to their conclusion

·         Strong planning and time management skills

·         Self-directed, pro-active, highly motivated, upbeat, friendly, and adaptable

Compensation

Compensation: Base salary in the range of $40,000 to $50,000, depending on years of experience. This company provides excellent benefits, as well, including health, dental, fully covered MSP, and an RRSP plan!
