Coastal Natural Resource Management is a growing natural resource firm located in Vancouver, BC that offers the unique opportunity to work in forestry throughout the province while living in the city.

Coastal is comprised of young professionals that work in a team atmosphere.

Coastal provides professional services to various clients and specializes in forest engineering and project management. Because of increased business opportunities Coastal has openings for Natural Resource Technicians.

The successful candidates will work within a team atmosphere under the direction of senior staff to complete a variety of technical tasks including but not limited to; cut block and road layout, stream mapping and identification, GPSing, and environmental monitoring.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate the following requirements: 

• Have past experience working in the forest industry

• A valid BC driver’s licence

• Physically fit and able to withstand the rigors of working in an outdoor environment

• Interested in travel throughout BC

• Well organized and have good communication skills

• A working understanding of forest engineering and the forestry business

• A working understanding of GPS and forestry technology

• Having experience of interior cruising would be an asset

• Preference will be given to those who are enrolled with the ABCFP

The positions will commence as soon as the applicant is available and compensation packages will be commensurate with experience.

Generally, employees work twenty days a month but during the field seasons there is opportunities to work significantly more which will increase the overall wage.

Travel throughout the province will be required for the position.
