My client is a major player in the pulp and paper industry specializing in turning wood chips into useful products like OSB and Siding. They have immediate openings for millwrights. Must be red seal endorsed. Must be willing to move to the area. Must be looking for long term, career employment.
My client will consider 3rd and 4th year apprentices although the rate is lower than what is quoted above.
Ideally you have:
- Experience in the OSB or Pulp and Paper world. Failing that heavy industry experience would be considered. Failing that you live in the area and have your red seal ticket.
- Ability to work shifts. Various shifts are available.
- Desire to live in the area. Long distance commutes won’t work and its not a fly-in, fly-out deal.
- Desire for permanent employment. This is not a contract opportunity.
- Desire for long-term employment. Career jumpers or people looking for a few bucks while waiting for their next contract need not apply.
- Desire to be a very important part of the team. If the equipment doesn’t work everyone loses. You keep it working!
Compensation
$41/hr +++
