Full-time Mill Electrician is needed for Quadra Wood Products Ltd. located at 34371
Industrial Way, Abbotsford BC, V2S7M6. This position will start from January 01, 2018.

Main Duties:

• Install, examine and repair electrical components for the sawmill;
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations;
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance;
• Maintain, repair and troubleshoot industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices of the production line, and keep maintain records;
• Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems;
• Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of a 2 or 3 years college program in electrical engineering technolory or an equivalent;
• 5 years of related experience;
• Solid understanding and familiarity with electronic instrumentation systems;
• Ability to independently learn new equipment and software technologies.

Compensation

Salary: $25.00/Hourly
