AV Terrace Bay is currently recruiting for a Manager, Fibre Procurement to join our Fibre Supply team. Reporting to the VP of Fibre Supply & Government Relations, the Manager, Fibre Procurement will focus on: developing and implementing a fibre procurement strategy to ensure ongoing supply of cost effective and quality private, industrial freehold, sawmill residuals & other Crown Licenses wood/fibre to the AVTB and external business partners. Also provides leadership to the AV Group in the area of scaling and wood measurement.
Responsibilities include:
Managing, maintaining and negotiating a quality, quantity and cost effective fibre supply strategy
Developing and expanding customer relations while securing a sustainable long term low cost fibre supply
Develop, implement, negotiate and secure sufficient raw material to meet the needs of AVTB Operations
Provide leadership to the AVTB Fibre Procurement Team in purchasing of raw material and scaling.
Communicate, recommend and review issues involving Woodlands & Mill Operations
Develops, maintains and reports on Procurement Department Budget
Our ideal candidate will have:
BScF, BSc FE and/or Forest Technician diploma
10 years relevant experience.
Willing to work with flexibility in hours
Budgeting experience preferred
Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
Ability to lead and participate in a multi-functional, team-based environment.
Demonstrated analytical and planning skills.
Must be able to work independently and cope with conflicting demands in short time periods.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to multi-task and follow-up on commitments
Compensation
$85,000 to $100,000
