Position Profile:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent this position is directly responsible for utilizing the Mill’s CMMS as a primary tool to plan, estimate, resource and schedule work orders to facilitate the efficient and effective completion of requested work. This role is also responsible for ensuring that complete and accurate record are kept of all maintenance activities, updating of storeroom stock levels and tracking relevant maintenance metrics (KPI’s). This position is located at our Wawa Pellet Mill in Wawa, Ontario.
Your Key Tasks:
• Plan and coordinate all planned maintenance activities performed at site.
• Manage the work order management system to minimize interruptions to the continuous operations of the mill.
• Receive work order requests through CMMS and validate all work orders by determining job needs and prioritizing.
• Develop detailed repair plans by conducting field inspections, utilizing standard work plans or technical documentation and/or collaborate with all other personnel or contractors to properly resource all routine work orders.
• Must have the ability to identify recommendations and or areas for improvement.
You have the following qualifications:
• Certified maintenance journeyperson with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial planner/scheduler position.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and post-secondary education in a maintenance related field is preferred.
• Must have knowledge and experience in the use of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance System).
• Prior experience with maintenance planning and scheduling is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, preferably in the forestry manufacturing industry.
• Strong MS office skills; Word and Excel are required.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and planning skills.
