Years Experience Required:  Two to three years of related experience. Prefer wood expereince with either : MDF, particleboard, OSB or plywood.

Job Description:

Provide maintenance planning and scheduling, project management, basic mechanical engineering design and AutoCAD support for all aspects of mill operation. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for various project requests including design and re-design work, development of technical data, drawings and specifications.
  • Interact with production and maintenance personnel to define and solve manufacturing issues and implement ideas for improvement.
  • Coordinate as required with internal resources including production maintenance / reliability / planning, quality, safety, purchasing, and finance.
  • Review drawings and other applicable specifications and data to determine the best approach, requirements and/or feasibility of work requested.
  • Provide AutoCAD drafting and design for plant projects.
  • Provide regular updates on work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
  • Interact with vendors and other external resources.
  • Participate with maintenance and production management in engineering and general design review discussions as required.
  • Provide maintenance planning and scheduling.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Bachelors of Engineering Degree or equivalent from four-year college degree preffered.
  • Two to three years of related experience.
  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret industrial plant documents and drawings.
  • Able to use computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software.
  • Able to write presentations and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
  • Able to comprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra, and statistical theory.
  • Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Able to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experieince with computerized maintenance planning and scheduling software.  

Compensation

Wage: $85-90k/year depending on experience
