Years Experience Required: Two to three years of related experience. Prefer wood expereince with either : MDF, particleboard, OSB or plywood.
Job Description:
Provide maintenance planning and scheduling, project management, basic mechanical engineering design and AutoCAD support for all aspects of mill operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for various project requests including design and re-design work, development of technical data, drawings and specifications.
- Interact with production and maintenance personnel to define and solve manufacturing issues and implement ideas for improvement.
- Coordinate as required with internal resources including production maintenance / reliability / planning, quality, safety, purchasing, and finance.
- Review drawings and other applicable specifications and data to determine the best approach, requirements and/or feasibility of work requested.
- Provide AutoCAD drafting and design for plant projects.
- Provide regular updates on work status, workload, problems, and progress as related to work assignments.
- Interact with vendors and other external resources.
- Participate with maintenance and production management in engineering and general design review discussions as required.
- Provide maintenance planning and scheduling.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors of Engineering Degree or equivalent from four-year college degree preffered.
- Two to three years of related experience.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret industrial plant documents and drawings.
- Able to use computer assisted drafting (AutoCAD) equipment and software.
- Able to write presentations and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
- Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
- Able to comprehend and apply principles of calculus, modern algebra, and statistical theory.
- Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Able to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
- Experieince with computerized maintenance planning and scheduling software.
Compensation
Wage: $85-90k/year depending on experience
