Education: Secondary School

Job Duties:

  •  Loading and unloading of goods.
  •  Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
  •  Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance.
  •  Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.
  •  Perform emergency roadside repairs.


Employment requirement: 

• Valid driver's license

• Essential Skills: Problem solving, Critical thinking

• Experience: 2 yrs. work experience

• Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

• Type of Trucking and Equipment: Logging, highway, Logging, off-highway

• Type of Travel: Local, Provincial/territorial

• Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post trip)

• Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs.)

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise
