THE COMPANY
Olympic Log Sort Ltd. (OLS) provides log sorting & scaling services to forest products companies large and small.
THE POSITION
OLS is currently seeking a Log Sort Operations Supervisor to join our Stillwater Log Sort Operation located in Powell River, British Columbia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safe management of the log sort operations and providing leadership to approximately 25 full time employees.
- Overseeing booming grounds, boom cut-offs, mapping of booms, and the flow of incoming and outgoing booms and barges from the sort.
- Overseeing daily and monthly scale including reconciliation’s, corrections, boom cut-offs, inventories and invoicing to customers as required.
- Provide excellent quality control and communicate with the various customers and their representatives on any issues as required.
- A complete outline of responsibilities and employment particulars will be provided to short listed candidates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-10 years of log sort management experience.
- A BC Scaling License is an asset for this position.
