Position: BC Interior Log Scaler
Term: Full-time
Start date: As soon as possible
Location of Work: Mackenzie, BC

East Fraser Fiber Co. Ltd. has an opening for a full-time Licensed BC Interior Log Scaler for our whole log chipping plant in Mackenzie, BC. The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Log Scaler. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Hand scale samples for multiple companies
• Perform log quality assessments
• Weighing of loaded logging trucks
• Strong communication skills in a busy log yard environment with Truck Drivers, other Scalers/Company personnel, and Government representatives
• Be able to effectively multi-task
• Conduct log inventories
• Provide directions to log haulers re safety and log yard logistics
Minimum Requirements:
• BC Interior Metric Scaling License
• Valid BC Drivers license
• Minimum of one year related experience
• Ability to work safely in a team environment
• Use of Microsoft Excel and Word would be an asset
