The Southern Interior division of our company manages a range of forest area in the Osoyoos region and has an immediate opening for a:

LEAD FOREST TECHNICIAN

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with reconnaissance planning

• Understanding and interpreting forest legislation and applying it in planning operations

• Perform field duties including: timber cruising, field cruise mapping, block layout, GPS traversing, boundary painting, road location, road traverse, stream assessment, riparian assessment, windthrow hazard assessments and collection of Eco data and field photos

• Be safety conscious, showing support and compliance with Infinity-Pacific’s Safety Management policies and procedures

• Have some experience with forestry road building and block harvesting

• Preference will be given to those applicants that are familiar with interior layout

• Be physically fit and able to endure the rigors of full time field work

• Must hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License
