We are currently seeking a Junior & Intermediate Forest Engineer to join our Duncan operation.

As a Junior or Intermediate Forest Engineer, you will assist our Senior Forest Engineers in all elements of cutblocks and road development. Duties will include field reconnaissance, cutblock and road layout, traversing, stream classification, collection of appraisal data, GPS surveys, bridge site plan surveys, traverse note entry and map building in RoadEng. Candidates will be considered to fill these positions based on the following preferred qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Junior Forest Engineer

  • Preference will be given to those who have post-secondary degree or technical diploma in forestry, with eligibility for registration within ABCFP
  • Minimum of 1 year forest engineering experience
  • Familiarity with forestry legislation and regulations in B.C
  • A valid B.C drivers license
  • Good communication skills and a desire to learn

Intermediate Forest Engineer

  • Preference will be given to those who have post-secondary degree or technical diploma in forestry; with registration (or eligibility for registration) with the ABCFP
  • Minimum of 3 years forest engineering experience
  • Familiarity with forestry legislation and regulations in B.C. (e.g. FRPA, Forest Act etc.)
  • Proficiency with computer software including Word and Excel
  • A valid BC driver’s licence
  • Good communication skills and experience in crew supervision an asset

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in coastal British Columbia, although individuals with forest engineering experience from other areas are also encouraged to apply.
