Manufacturer and exporter of portable sawmills and small-scale forestry equipment is looking for an enthusiastic, positive, team-minded individual to join our growing company as a full-time international sales and market-expansion specialist to:

  • Work in the fast-paced environment of global headquarters located in central Ontario, with specific emphasis on customer and dealer relations in Africa, necessitating full fluency in, at least, Afrikaans and English.
  • Respond to international sawmill enquiries in multiple African countries via telephone, email and in person from prospective and existing customers regarding the features, specifications and options of sawmill equipment, shipping options and technical support.
  • Identify prospective African representatives and dealers, initiate communications with same via telephone, email and in person, and facilitate establishment of new dealer relations.
  • Coordinate, service and support existing and new African representatives and dealers.
  • Train existing and new African representatives and dealers on the operation and maintenance of sawmills and related equipment.
  • Attend African tradeshows interacting with existing and potential customers, and identifying potential representatives and dealers for new markets.
  • Visit dealerships to ensure quality of service, strengthen sales efforts and explore new opportunities in international markets.

Fluency in multiple languages required including, at least, English and Afrikaans; other African languages, particularly Zulu, would be an asset. At least two years’ experience with portable sawmills and small-scale wood-processing equipment required. At least two years’ experience in sales required. Experience with expansion of international markets a strong asset.

Location of position: Orillia / Muskoka, Ontario area, although position will involve travelling.  

Compensation

Annual salary: $45,500 based on full-time 35 working-hours week (no benefits).
