Job Overview:

We have an immediate opening for an Intermediate or Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team of established design professionals. This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their design skills in an experienced, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise developing structural designs and peer review of fellow designers
  • Assist drafting team members in translating design concepts to paper and producing concise, finished construction drawings for use by site personnel and fabricators
  • Check the work produced by junior personnel

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree from a recognized University or College and eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGBC
  • Five years of design experience primarily with industrial structures for sawmill or mining projects.
  • Good working knowledge of ‘P-Frame’, ‘S-Frame’ and ‘ETABS’
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational ability and proven time management skills
  • Attention to detail is very important
  • Solid command of English, both written and verbal

Compensation

Salary is open depending on experience. Extended medical and dental is offered
