Job Overview:
We have an immediate opening for an Intermediate or Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team of established design professionals. This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to develop their design skills in an experienced, professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise developing structural designs and peer review of fellow designers
- Assist drafting team members in translating design concepts to paper and producing concise, finished construction drawings for use by site personnel and fabricators
- Check the work produced by junior personnel
Qualifications:
- Engineering Degree from a recognized University or College and eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGBC
- Five years of design experience primarily with industrial structures for sawmill or mining projects.
- Good working knowledge of ‘P-Frame’, ‘S-Frame’ and ‘ETABS’
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational ability and proven time management skills
- Attention to detail is very important
- Solid command of English, both written and verbal
Compensation
Salary is open depending on experience. Extended medical and dental is offered
