Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative’s overall responsibility is providing sales and product support to the outside sales team while assisting with customer service items. In support to the outside sales staff, this individual’s duties will include accurate order entry, pricing and follow-up of all quotes, shared responsibility of filling orders for delivery and handling customer service claims in a timely manner. The Inside Sales Representative is accountable for developing relationships with clients and customers to obtain insights into the performance of competing products and distributors.

In addition, other requirements and responsibilities include: 

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Work closely with operations to manage deliveries and product support
  • Purchasing of special orders as needed
  • Marketing support by attending special company and customer events as needed
  • Highly organized individual with the ability to manage a fast paced schedule
  • Expertise in sales/customer relationship management software 

We require 3+ years’ experience with inside sales, customer service and/or marketing disciplines, preferably within the lumber distribution or service industry.
