Sequal Lumber is a sawmill based in Kawerau, New Zealand.  We specialise in producing custom cut to order industrial lumber for the export market.  The line is heavily automated, with very little operator intervention, and relies on a well functioning electrical system.  The line includes multiple Siemens PLC's, dozens of large and small electrical motors and VSD's.

We are looking for a trade certified or better electrician, preferably with experience in a fast moving production environment.  Experience with and knowledge of control systems would be an advantage.

The job would require shift work, and some weekend work.

The ability to problem solve, and bring an analytical approach to improving our production capabilities is also a must.  We will continue to invest in technologies that improve our rate of production, or reduce our downtime.
