Head of Treasury, Taxation and MIS

Role Overview

Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for treasury, tax and corporate reporting function of two mills to manage risks, optimize interest cost, maximize foreign exchange realization and meet company’s investment objective and to ensure compliance with tax, statutory regulation and company policy.

This includes cash management, financing and investing activities, internal controls, risk management; tax planning and loss prevention and some financial modeling and analysis related to financing and investing activities.

Plan, organize and control MIS system to measure company performance and support management in business planning & decision making with specific focus on wood operation, procurement and capital project spending.

Providing accurate and timely reporting of financial for the unit while providing timely operation and production statistic for the operation areas and ensuring the integrity of the unit structure. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Cash management, loan and fund management, compliance with loan covenants, get new financing.
  • Foreign exchange dealing and managing forex hedging plan.
  • Filing Income tax return, tax planning, handling all tax matters including transfer pricing.
  • Filing SRED claims, handling SRED audit and cases.
  • Risk and insurance management, renewal of insurance policies, claim settlement.
  • Monitor and report capital expenditure budget and track project performance.
  • Facilitate wood accountant in budgeting, reporting and tracking wood and forest management cost.
  • Keep track of ever changing Tax, Fiscal Law, IFRS and other accounting rules and revise company policies and practices as required.
  • Compile quarterly and annual financial and MIS reports in co-ordination with Chief Accountants of two mills ensuring that they are compiled and provided on uniform assumption and identical template.
  • Assist CFO/COO in preparation of documents for Operation review, board meeting and other matters.
  • Assist in annual audit, finalizing notes to accounts, future income tax calculation, valuation of biological assets and various corporate matters
  • Assist in coordinate and manage internal audit.
  • Communication with lenders, bankers, auditors, tax authorities and other agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Qualification of CA, CMA, CGA & related experience 5 to 10 years.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Power Point.
  • Strong management and organization skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
