The Organisation:

The Softwood Plantations Division of Forestry Corporation of NSW manages over 200,000 Ha of softwood plantations across NSW supplying over 3.2 million tonnes of log products annually.

The Position:

Forestry Corporation is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its Harvesting and Roading team in Tumut. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing harvesting contractors within the Tumut Management Area.  Core duties will revolve around the planning and supervision of harvesting operations with a strong focus on value recovery, meeting customer supply targets and working within budget constraints.  This role is one of six Harvesting Supervisor positions and reports to the Harvesting Controller. The team strives to be innovative, is continually looking to improve operational efficiencies and prides itself on strong safety leadership and management.

The ideal candidate will be self driven and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. They will also ideally possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Experience in forest operations at grass roots or management level.
• Ability to put together site based plans using planning systems.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and GIS systems.
• Well developed supervisory and contractor management skills.
• Well developed planning, organisational and communication skills.
